1
00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:02.933
Chapter seventeen.

2
00:00:02.933 --> 00:00:10.840
SCAFI members join through a cooperative, so the cooperative is registered and verified first.

3
00:00:11.800 --> 00:00:17.467
Rakiya Abdullahi, the Kaduna State Coordinator, opens the Cooperatives tab

4
00:00:17.467 --> 00:00:23.833
and registers the Kaduna State Civil Servants Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

5
00:00:23.833 --> 00:00:31.876
She enters its registration number, the registering authority, the state, and a contact person.

6
00:00:32.233 --> 00:00:33.600
She saves it.

7
00:00:33.600 --> 00:00:37.000
The cooperative now waits for verification.

8
00:00:37.000 --> 00:00:42.211
The person who registers a cooperative can never verify it.

9
00:00:43.600 --> 00:00:54.053
So Ibrahim, a second registrar, checks the registration certificate, the bye-laws and the elected officers, and selects Verify.

10
00:00:55.467 --> 00:00:59.567
The cooperative register now shows it as verified.

11
00:00:59.567 --> 00:01:05.419
Only verified cooperatives are offered to people joining SCAFI.
